Like all characters, Deadpool has been through a lot of changes over the years. Now, he's one of the funniest and most entertaining anti-heroes of the Marvel Universe, but he didn't start out that way.
Let's take a look at his very first appearance, where he was just a disposable one-issue villain.

By Rob Liefeld and Fabian Nicieza.

Bat-Mite was created by Bill Finger and Sheldon Moldoff in 1959 to add some more humor into the Batman series, which by that time was already pretty campy to begin with. He made a dozen or so appearances and then faded away along with all the rest of DC's comical sidekicks (almost every one in the Justice League had one), but that didn't stop the folks at Filmation from reviving him as a supporting character in their 1977 series THE NEW ADVENTURES OF BATMAN.
Sadly, the Filmation cartoon was probably the highpoint of the Mite's popularity. The current Batman comics and movies are geared towards intelligent adult audiences, and things like humor and having fun are just not acceptable to the fans.
Don't let that stop you from enjoying this story, which has a whole lot of fun in it. It has Batman, Robin, Batwoman, Bat-Mite, and a ridiculous villain called the Hobby Robber. It even has a giant penny in it.

What are your least favorite book and movie genres? Are you willing to make exceptions? Do you ever feel left out of social events/discussions owing to atypical taste in movies/books?

What are your least favorite book and movie genres?

Romance or "chic-lit" when it comes to books, although I've read a few of them here and there and they seem to have more interesting sexy parts than "mens" novels. WAIT. Why don't I like them again?
Straight dramas when it comes to movies. If there's not a monster, robot, explosions, ass-kicking, or gore I don't want it.

Are you willing to make exceptions?

Sure, why not.

Do you ever feel left out of social events/discussions owing to atypical taste in movies/books?

Not really, the people who like those types of books/movies generally are pretty damn boring to talk to anyway. There's somebody else at the party who is more fun to talk to.

Jesse Blaze Snider seems to get what makes for good Deadpool writing: action and humor. The art by Marco Checchetto isn't quite to my liking tho'. That's life, I guess.

The war that never ends.... the battle of the sexes; or as Prince put it, "Boy versus girl in the World Series of love".
Both stories are illustrated by Morris Weiss (who had quite an interesting career, in case you didn't know) and both were originally published in MISS AMERICA #75, December 1955.

I can't say that I am an expert on Photo-Comics; I've seen them in fanzines from time to time, as well as seeing them in MAD or CRACKED magazines when I was younger.
Apparently, they're more popular outside of the United States, which would make sense because you don't see them too much here in the U.S., except for the occasional adult magazine spreads (i.e. HUSTLER).
For what it's worth, here's a photo-illustrated short from VIZ COMIC #31, August 1988......
